CNC Lathe

The CNC lathe is a manufacturing process for metal removal with two fundamental movements that are the cutting motion of material that rotates about the piece and the forward movement, which are rectilinear and are performed by the tool.

The CNC lathe is characterized by a very effective machine tool for machining revolution parts.

Applications

CNC lathes have application in various industries: machinery manufacturers, automotive industry, furniture production, oil industry, medical industry, including for the manufacture of pipes for water transport.

Advantages

  • Allows for more accuracy in the machining of revolution
  • Changing a workpiece by another is easy
  • Reduces operator errors compared to conventional turning

Equipment

The Fundació CIM has the following CNC turning equipment:

  • MORI SEIKI NT-3150
  • DANOBAT DANOCENTER NI-1200
