Design for all

In an environment designed and built for people with physical abilities intact, people with disabilities have often the road covered with obstacles. The need for outside help multiply their limitations, making them dependent on variables beyond their control.

Noting the diversity and taking into account groups with fewer skills or disadvantaged, two goals are achieved: to make a product for everyone and make improvements to the user.

The 7 principles of Universal Design or Design for everyone are focused on designing universally and for all, but we need to note that the design aspects involved, such as cost, the environment, etc., must not be forgotten. These general design principles are applicable and in fact currently implemented in the architecture, engineering and, of course, web pages and applications, among other fields of application.

Fundació CIM works on the design and development of discomfort and obstacle saving objects for disadvantaged groups, with the aim of improving people's life quality.
