MES for plant control

Redundant data, incorrect data, missing data, miscoded data. All companies have this kind of problems with their vital information residing in remote and not well communicated area of Information Technology.

Combining information from multiple databases is difficult but vital to a company's productivity and to the ability to react in real time front the various changes in the market and production needs.

Manufacturing Execution System, is the computing platform link at the plant level, the ERP system management (Purchasing, Planning, Store ...) with productive resources (machines, production lines). The aim of the MES is to increase the production level of the plant by optimizing the management of resources, improving efficiency of the machines (OEE: Overall Equipment Efficiency), managing Production Orders, traceability, logistics and in-plant quality control.

They develop software tools and design methodologies based on mathematical models that can reduce design time and increase confidence in it, with emphasis on flexible manufacturing systems. They also research on mathematical models that cover the life cycle, techniques for scheduling and monitoring and simulation in complex production systems.
