The Fundació Privada Centre CIM is recognized as a state-wide Technology Centre with registration No 1, created to enhance the competitiveness of Spanish companies with activities of Research, Development and Innovation.

The Fundació CIM is committed to the production technologies as a fundamental element to the advancement of society.
The Fundació CIM’s R&D&i is aimed at developing projects of applied research nature or general interest to the sector (proposed by the Fundació or in collaboration with other Research Centres, universities or companies) or as projects under contract with companies.

In addition, the Foundation participates in the management and coordination of projects in all stages from training for the consortium partners and to negotiate research contracts and the processing of grants and proposals for R&D.

As a Transfer Office of Research Results with registration No 89, the Fundació CIM also performs transfer activities of research results to the productive sector, particularly through ensuring a greater participation in R&D&i.
