Roundness measurement

The determination of the roundness is done after the evaluation of characteristic irregularities (ripples distances and peak-valley) and lobes (equally spaced undulations, in small numbers) that arise as a result of machining operations.

The Fundació CIM performs measurements using TALYROUND TAYLOR HOBSON equipment, turntable type where you turn the piece while the probe remains in stationary contact with it.
