SLS – Selective Laser Sintering technology

Selective Laser Sintering technology (SLS) consists of the successive deposit of polymer layers, which is melted by a CO2 laser allowing the manufacture of complex geometries with features no other RP technologies can achieve.

Applications

  • Unique pieces or small series.
  • Validation mechanical, thermal or seating of clipage montaje.
  • Parts per Parts Definitive functional machines with tiradas short term.
  • Moldes for production of thermo-formed.

Advantages

  • Good mecanic behaviour
  • Resistance to humidity and temperatures of up to 80 ° C.
  • Resistance to impacts and to agressive liquids such as hydrocarbon, glycol, hot water.
  • Cost less than the esterolitografía.
  • Absence of support in construction and post-treatment.
  • Absence of limitations in the geometry

Material & Equipment

The Foundation disposes of a Vanguard HS from 3D Systems with the following materials:

  • Duraform PA - Polyamide.
  • Duraform GF - Polyamide with loads of fiber glass.
  • Alumide - Polyamide with loads of aluminum.
